I’d always been an animal lover, exploring vegetarianism in my teens, and fully giving up meat when I left home at age 20. I was then vegan for a while in my 20s, and although I slipped backwards to dairy and eggs for many years, I knew that I wanted to become vegan again – for my conscience.
It was a skin cancer diagnosis that was my huge kick in the butt to get back to being vegan, and also to start exploring the world of plant based health. What I discovered astounded me so much that I gave up a 30 year career in corporate retail to study plant based nutrition and become a health coach.
The changes to my own body – my stabalised weight, my digestion, my skin, my energy, my sinuses… all made me passionate about helping others to really, truly feel health in their own bodies and live a life of passion, rather than one they felt they were just surviving.
